I'm Gonna Say It

At the same point in their careers, Lebron James is much better than Michael Jordan was. There. I said it. Now discuss.

I apologize in advance if this jinxes Lebron's career

I beg to differ. Lebron James, or any other player out there, can not surpass the skill, suave and demeanor of one of the basketball Gods. Michael Jordan made a name for himself, as soon as he graduated from North Carolina. Not many of these younging's are as articulate as MJ when he was their age. I cannot think of any other player, like MJ, that scored 60pts in one game DURING his rookie years. These young players looked up to MJ as one of their all time faves, even though they don't admit to it. Furthermore, I don't see any of these other players have much endorsements as did MJ, nor can they combine theirs to match his. MJ is and will be ONE of the Best in Basketball. In tandem with the old times, Dr. J(ulius Irving), Clyde the Slyde Drexler, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Danny Ainge, Sir Charles Barkley and the whole host of those that made basketball .. well, basketball. Now, not to say, these veterans never did a stunt like that of Nov. 19th; the veterans made basketball fun to watch .. they never lost heart. These players today, cry like babies if they got fouled. The veterans played on. These players today act as if they were playing street ball, rather that of professional. And what's with all those tatoos that these young players have. Is this a game of "how many tatoos do you have"? None of the veterans had tatoos; and if they did, they didnt display it. In conclusion, as stated earlier: no one will ever come up to par with Michael "Air" Jordan. Which leaves me to ask: Can you name any other player in the NBA (old or new) that came up close to help create new basketball sneakers, every season, like that of Air Jordan?

i agree with my ninong.

here are my closing arguements:

- lebron came STRAIGHT OUTTA HIGH SCHOOL! MJ didnt.

- lebron is making WAY MORE MONEY from endorsements than jordan did at the same age.

- lebron has a more ghetto name.

- lebron ain't a ball hog

- if MJ came out today, coaches wouldn't give him the free reign that he had in the 80's. lebron works within the system. oh wait, i think the system is worked around him. scratch this point.

- lebron never won an ncaa championship. MJ did.

- lebron never won an nba dunk contest. MJ did. in fact, lebron's dunks may be thunderous, but they ain't creative like MJ's.

- MJ won a gold medal in the olympics. lebron got splinters from riding the bench.

- lebron can't act. ok, neither can MJ.

- mj actually looked mean on the court -- like he knew he owned you. lebron looks like one of the dudes from bell biv devoe.

so there you have it. i no longer agree with my ninong, glenn. hey ninong, how bout coming to edison to visit me one of these days?!
