My girl did the sweetest thing the other day. We were at the mall and she was shopping for last minute stuff for her sister's wedding. One of the shops that she needed to go to was Victoria's Secret. Now I'm not shy but Victoria's Secret does make me uncomfortable. Something about forty year-old women inspecting thongs and lacey bras just really disturbs me. So I suggested to Beth that I should wait outside for her while she gets what she needs.
I'm not exactly sure how long I waited for her, although I did have time to stop by the toy store next door to pick up some Spongebob candy for Beth's sisters. It didn't really feel like I waited very long. I mean I didn't even check my watch. Eventually she came out and I smiled at her. She smiled back at me and said something like, "Gosh I made you wait so long and you're still smiling."
And then she kissed me; a short kiss, but a memorable one. I asked her what that was for and she answered, "Just for waiting."
