Darth Beth vs. Obi Wan Glennobi

(aka, Never Ever Go See A Movie That You Really Want To See With A Hottie)

I finally saw Episode III yesterday. As a huge Star Wars fan, I amazed myself by holding back so long, but since my girlfriend has a cold so she can't kiss me, we went to see Revenge of The Sith. Apparently it was a great movie. All my friends say so. But I really wasn't paying attention because, well, my girlfriend is hot. So I came up with this theory.

Beth is a Sith Lord. She purposely distracted me from the movie so that I wouldn't learn the lessons that Obi Wan learned that could prevent my fall to the dark side of the Force.

Okay, in all seriousness, Episode III was the only installment of the Star Wars franchise that I did NOT raise my expectations for. In fact, I was expecting the worst. Hayden Christensuck was still playing Anakin, and of course George Lucas was directing. Just those two facts alone pretty much killed the spirit for me.

The dialogue was still trite and cheesey. In fact, during a scene where Anakin and Padme were expressing their love-slash-worries for each other, I leaned over to Beth and said, "Wow, do I sound that cheesey when I sweet-talk you?" I'm not going to tell you her answer.

But otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but Anakin really does turn into Darth Vader.
